A brow lift is a surgical procedure with long-lasting results – often 10–15 years or more, depending on your skin type, age, and lifestyle.
Achieve a subtle rejuvenation and reopening of the eye area with a direct brow lift – a surgical procedure that restores the natural position of the eyebrow and thereby lifts the upper part of the face.
As the eyebrows gradually descend with age, it can create a heavy, tired, or stern expression – even if you feel fresh and energetic.
By gently lifting the brows back to their original position, we can open up the eye area, restore facial proportions, and give you a softer, more awake expression – without looking operated on.
At Sculpture by, brow lifts are performed by plastic surgeon Louise Vennegaard Mielke, who specializes in the delicate structures of the eye region and in creating natural, balanced results with minimal scarring.
“I felt safe throughout the entire process, and the result was both natural and beautiful. I could not be more satisfied – definitely a recommendation from me.”

A brow lift is a surgical procedure that repositions “heavy” eyebrows with a lift. Depending on your anatomy and desired outcome, the lift can be performed using different techniques:
A brow lift can be performed on its own or combined with eyelid surgery, facelift, fat injections, or skin rejuvenating treatments for a more holistic result. For most patients, a combination of a temporal lift and possibly eyelid surgery is recommended, as it provides a balanced and natural tightening without overcorrection. If a more powerful effect is desired, a direct brow lift may be the right choice.
A brow lift is suitable for you if you:
Have eyebrows that have descended with age
Experience a heavy, tired, or inward-looking expression
Want an open and lifted gaze without altering facial expressions
Wish to rejuvenate the upper part of the face
Have excess eyelid skin that cannot be corrected with eyelid surgery alone
No – the surgical lift is performed gently with respect for the face’s expression and musculature. The result is a more open and refreshed look that appears natural and well-balanced. Scars are hidden as much as possible in the hairline. With the direct brow lift, however, a fine scar along the upper edge of the brow may be visible. This can be concealed with brow hair, makeup, or eyebrow tattooing.

The procedure is performed under local or general anaesthesia, depending on the technique and extent. For a temporal lift, small incisions are made within the hair above the temples, through which the tissue is gently released and lifted. In a direct brow lift, the incision is placed just above the eyebrow, which is then lifted and shaped surgically. For the endoscopic lift, small access points are made along the hairline, allowing the use of fine endoscopic instruments.
The surgery typically takes 1–2 hours, and in most cases, you can return home the same day.
Mild swelling and bruising around the temples and eyes are normal during the first few days. Most patients feel presentable again after 7–10 days – possibly with a touch of makeup. The scars heal discreetly within the hairline or along the brow, depending on the technique used.
No – the surgical lift is performed gently, with great respect for the natural facial expression and underlying muscles. The result is an open, refreshed look that appears natural and well-balanced. Scars are hidden as discreetly as possible within the hairline. In the case of a direct brow lift, a fine line may be visible along the upper edge of the brow, which can easily be concealed with brow hair, makeup, or a brow tattoo.

Botulinum toxin can provide a minor temporary lift but cannot replace a surgical brow lift. A surgical lift is ideal when the skin has become lax and the tissue has descended more noticeably. In the long term, a surgical brow lift can be “maintained” with Botox, which is well-suited for preventing wrinkles and signs of ageing.
