Sculpting the lower face with precision and balance creates a defined jawline, and the clear transition between chin and neck is characteristic of a youthful and harmonious face.
Both men and women experience, with age or due to genetic predisposition, a tendency toward a double chin – fat accumulation under the chin. This can give the face an undesired heavy look and blur the natural definition of the lower face, even at normal weight.
With liposuction of the chin and jawline, we can sculpt the area with great precision and create a beautifully defined facial profile – without altering your natural appearance.
“I felt safe throughout the entire process, and the result was both natural and beautiful. I could not be more satisfied – definitely a recommendation from me.”

At Sculpture by, the treatment is performed by plastic surgeon Louise Vennegaard Mielke, who specializes in harmonious, balanced results with respect for your natural facial shape and structure.
Chin liposuction is a targeted and gentle method for removing unwanted submental fat and fat along the jawline. The method improves the contour between face and neck, accentuates the jaw angle, and creates a more harmonious profile – especially in profile view and in photos.
With liposuction of the chin and/or jawline, the plastic surgeon creates definition and contour in the lower face.
The treatment can stand alone – or be combined with a neck or facelift. The procedure is performed gently, with great precision, and through minimal entry points that leave minimal scars, which over time become nearly invisible.
At Sculpture by, chin liposuction is never a standard solution – but an aesthetic sculpting, where small, precise adjustments create a significant visual effect. The result is a more defined, clean, and balanced lower face – in natural harmony with the rest of your face.
This treatment is suitable for you if you:
Experience a double chin or excess fullness under the chin
Want more definition in the jawline and profile
Seek discreet contour enhancement and a permanent result without visible scars
During the consultation, the plastic surgeon will assess whether you are a good candidate for liposuction or if treatment of deeper fat or other structures in the neck is required.
Our before-and-after photos say more than words. Here you get an honest insight into how small adjustments can make a big difference – both in appearance and in confidence.

The procedure can be performed under local anaesthesia – or under general anaesthesia if combined with other treatments. Through a small, discreet incision beneath the chin (typically only 2–3 mm), a fine cannula is inserted, and the unwanted fat is gently removed. The technique is delicate and performed with great precision to ensure an even and natural contour. The entire procedure takes about an hour, and you can leave the clinic shortly afterwards.
It is important to emphasise that only the subcutaneous fat – that is, the fat located on the outside of the platysma muscle – can be removed by liposuction.
You can expect mild swelling and tenderness in the area during the first few days. We recommend – and provide – a soft compression bandage to be worn for a few days to support healing. Slight bruising and temporary numbness may occur but will gradually subside. Most patients can resume normal activities within 3–5 days and feel ready for photos within 1–2 weeks.
Yes – the fat cells that are removed do not return. As long as your weight remains stable, the result will be long-lasting. Skin elasticity plays a role in the overall outcome, and if needed, the treatment can be combined with a neck lift or skin-tightening procedures.
No – the entry point for the cannula is a minimal incision placed discreetly beneath the chin, which in most cases heals to become virtually invisible.
Yes – chin liposuction is often used as a complementary procedure to, for example, a Deep Plane neck or facelift, lip lift, or fat injections. Combination options are assessed individually during the consultation.
